PAUSE

PAUSE

Pause is a strange term. It may mean catching your breath, then leaving again. But it can also mean stop, it can mean enough.

“we’re on break!” in the office it’s cool…

in a love story…a little less

…and in psychotherapy?

It’s just one key, two vertical bars. First close and then… we are the ones who move away.

“Pause means we’ll see each other again, right?”

E’ curious as in a time, even if defined, made of a new silence. May your imagination come out… or some old ghost.

The fact is always the same: the mechanics of greeting, the anatomy of movement. “Come on, it’s right to stop in the summer.” My hand moves and greets me, my eyes turn, I close the door and …silence.

But that silence is a crossroads in the mind. Repeat or transform? To be or not to be?

E’ like when they dropped you off at school on the first day?

Like when you thought it was forever and it wasn’t?

Like When you thought he wouldn’t leave and he did?

And that silence seems to be taking a certain path, the known one.

Like flat-earthers, who think that after the horizon…the world ends and we fall down
But they only believe in physical limits, and even if the human eye cannot see beyond the horizon, the mind can.

There are those who believe only in disappointment and anticipate everything, leaving early, skipping the last session. It responds with its own absence, instead of making new sense.

“Are you abandoning me? yes if not you abandon me first!”

It would be nice to be able to be giants, to take just one huge step. And reach the day when we will see each other again.

Stupid little humans, we have to wait.

Waiting. What a strange word. But you can play it. Waiting is not passive. Waiting is to create a red thread between us, made not of memories but of wind. Waiting is fantasy.

E’ like the island that isn’t there, but is there.

Second star to the right and straight until September.

Transforming a relationship into its own internal wind

Then it’s not like when they dropped you off at school on the first day

It’s not Like when you thought it was forever.

It’s not Like When you thought he wouldn’t go away.

I looked better this time and you know what?

I discovered a place inside

“where the wind always blows”
