In order to appear scientific, psychiatry is increasingly focusing on genetics, the study of the brain, and overt behavior, thus losing sight of the human being and their mind, which is not the brain. All this is also leading to an increasing number of children being labeled with neurodevelopmental disorders, who will have to carry this label with them for the rest of their lives.
